Top planners for bloggers and online biz owners to manage your whole life.

Are you looking for a blog planner to organize all the gazillion blogging tasks you must do daily, weekly, and monthly? There are so many jobs bloggers need to do every single day that, honestly, I would be lost without a planner of some type.

And if you’re like me and also offer services in your online business, then managing those additional tasks makes it even scarier.

Experienced content creators and newbies alike know exactly what I’m talking about, especially if you’re a solopreneur who wears many hats. That’s why we’re tackling your to-do list with nine planners for bloggers that can help you stay organized and sane.

I’ll highlight digital blogging planners, physical ones, and even all-in-one systems like your favorite project management tools. So, let’s find the perfect option for your blogging goals and task lists.

What is a Blogging Planner?

A blog planner allows you to manage your blogging business and tasks.

The perfect planners for bloggers will tackle multiple aspects of blogging and things you need, such as:

  • Blog post ideas
  • Social media platforms you manage and content
  • Goal setting
  • A place to document and track the courses and resources you sign up for
  • A password tracker
  • An editorial calendar
  • A business plan for bloggers
  • Tracking to-dos and important details
  • A digital product planner
  • A digital product planner
  • A blog post checklist
  • A place to document systems and workflows
  • Collaboration activities with fellow bloggers, like summits, bundles, freebie swaps, etc
  • Important brand information like color hex codes, your bio, product and opt-in lists, blog post categories, social media links, etc
  • Anything else that makes sense to you

But you might be looking for a planner for a specific task, like content creation with a content calendar.

You’ll also want your blog planner to have flexible layouts like:

  • A weekly layout
  • A monthly spread
  • A daily planner
  • A place for important dates
  • A daily to-do list
  • Blank pages

Of all the blogging tips I can give you about choosing a good blog planner, flexibility is extremely helpful, no matter what type you choose, because your needs will evolve over time. What works for a blogger friend may not be the perfect planner for you.

Why Do Bloggers Need Planners?

Just like any other online business owner, bloggers have a lot to manage. In fact, I would argue that they may be some of the busiest entrepreneurs out there, as many are working a day job while growing their blog until they make enough income to leave it.

The right blogging planner helps you manage all your blogging goals, things to do, and resources. Staying organized is critical so you don’t drop any of the many balls you’re juggling. Running an online business has many moving parts, and the best blogging planners can help you manage everything easily.

A successful blog requires you to be as efficient as possible and stay organized for better results.

Top Blogging Planners for Bloggers

When choosing from the best blog planners on this list, you want to focus on how your brain works and your business itself. The best blogging planner for me is a digital planner like Trello, but for you, it may be a pretty paper planner.

Don’t try to make one fit for you that won’t work, or you’ll end up wasting money and never using it because it won’t work. I just love the pretty Erin Condren and Living Well paper planners, but I haven’t even used them for a whole month out of the year.

I almost bought one again this year, even though I know it won’t work. As you go through this list, be honest about what will and won’t work for you.

A spiral notebook with a collage of photos on the cover is on a white desk next to a pink iPhone, a keyboard, a calendar, and rose gold office supplies—perfect for those seeking the best planners for bloggers.

1. The Erin Condren Life Planners for Bloggers

The Erin Condren Life Planner is one of my favorite paper planners. This paper planner has a monthly and weekly view and plenty of space to write in tasks or notes for each day. With a layout of each month for two years in front, you can easily see how the days fall.

This Erin Condren planner also includes pages for notes in the back, a place to list contacts, and tons of fun stickers to decorate your planner. While it’s not specifically a blog planner, I actually like it more than some of those I’ve seen created as blogging planners.

I also love that the Erin Condren Life Planner has pocketed folders in the back. You can write notes with dry-erase markers on the inside of the front and back of the plastic planner.

You can also purchase additional accessories at an extra cost, like plastic book markers, plastic or cloth zippered backs for markers and things, rulers, and much more.

Like most of the best blogging planners, you can easily organize your tasks, appointments, and more, but I still use my phone to set reminders for many things as a backup. You can easily use it to manage your work and personal life, which makes it a good planner overall.

The best planners for bloggers featuring an open notebook with writing on it.

Erin Condren Planner Pros

  • Monthly and weekly layout
  • Fun and useful accessories
  • Multiple calendar years to see dates at a glance
  • Perfect for business and personal life management
  • It comes in a variety of designs and styles.

Erin Condren Planner Cons

  • It’s more expensive than other planners at around $60, but you can find them on sale throughout the year.
  • These planners are not specific to blogging.
Life Planner for Bloggers

2. Life Planner

This 12-month, weekly, and monthly calendar serves triple duty as an organizer, gratitude journal, and law of attraction planner. It even comes with a fold-out vision board so you can manifest on the go. It is not to be confused with Erin Condren’s Life Planner above.

It’s undated, so you can purchase it and start whenever you’re ready. It has monthly and weekly spreads, so you can plan in detail. It even has a super helpful 8-step system that will bring clarity, happiness, and peace while you achieve your goals. It’s perfect to organize all those blogging to-dos, such as:

  • Planning and creating courses and digital products
  • Summit or bundle collaborations
  • Business projects like building a Shopify or Etsy store, or a new website
  • Financial tasks
  • Regular weekly and daily tasks like writing blog posts, social media, creating lead magnets, and more

Plus, it’s top-quality at an affordable price. The creators thought of everything, even the small stuff, like a place to carry a pen.

One of my favorite features is the productivity stickers that come with it, which allow you to mark important dates and milestones on the way to meeting your goals. They make planning fun.

While it doesn’t address specific tasks like providing a place for a blog calendar or blog checklist, the Life Planner’s flexibility makes it perfect, no matter your current stage of blogging.

Life Planner Pros

  • The planner includes hourly, monthly, and yearly spreads and is undated, so you can start using it at any time of year.
  • It includes extras like the fold-out vision board, a journal for reflecting, and a place to jot down morning, mind maps, and evening routines.
  • Fun accessories and stickers to make creating a plan more fun
  • It comes in a variety of colors
  • It comes in a variety of colors and is durable and top-quality.

Life Planner Cons

  • The daily sections are narrow and hard to write in.
  • Some people said that the stickers included were outdated.
  • It doesn’t address typical tasks many bloggers do, such as content creation, social media scheduling and management, and a content calendar.
A bag with the words 'be the dream never plan' is a perfect accessory for bloggers.

3. Action Planner for Bloggers by Kristie Hill

This blog planner is a paper planner specifically for general blog planning. I like that it is one of the best blogging planners focused on bloggers, but it’s very flexible.

The Action Planner is ideal for creating a weekly plan for your blogging tasks and includes daily spreads to help you stay organized and achieve your goals.

So this works whether you want to create and launch a new lead magnet or course, batch email content for the next few weeks, plan for a summit presentation, or something else.

This planner is based on her planning method, RAP – Review and Plan, where you track and score your daily and weekly actions to achieve your goals. So, this blogging planner is also a built-in accountability partner.

A person holding an open notebook, exploring the best planners for bloggers, on a black background.

Kristie Hill’s Action Planner Pros

  • It’s inexpensive compared to some of this list’s other best blogging planners.
  • I love that it allows you to focus on just one or two main goals for the quarter, helping you determine the tasks you need to do while eliminating those that won’t further your goals.
  • The RAP planning strategy is good and lets you get creative when rating yourself.
  • A blogger designed it.

Kristie Hill’s Action Planner Cons

  • This blog planner only covers one quarter, so you will need to buy four per year.
  • It does not have helpful features like a monthly spread, a year at a glance, or some other elements found in the more robust planners.
The Happy Planner spreading happiness everywhere

4. The Happy Planner

The Happy Planner is a good planner adored by many business owners, partly because of its fun vibes and positivity, as it’s filled with motivational quotes. The Happy Planner is also customizable and very functional, so it’s not just another pretty planner.

The many extra accessories available make it super flexible and functional, similar to the Erin Condren planner above. It has sticker packs for many niches and themes, refill paper sheets, and more.

The Happy Planner is the best planner for people looking for a more general paper planner with a lot of flexibility. The ones with a spiral disc spine allow you to rearrange, add, or remove pages for maximum customization.

This specific planner is one of their largest, with extra room for writing and developing any plans, making it a great desk planner for bloggers.

The Happy Planner Pros

  • Weekly and monthly layouts with space for details and areas on the right side for each day
  • Fun accessories, such as stickers and refill pages, mean you don’t have to buy a new planner every year.
  • An affordable price at about $24.99, half the price of The Living Well Planner or Erin Condren Planners for bloggers
  • The Happy Planner’s mission is to spread happiness and empower people, and its planner designs and accessories reflect this.
  • It comes in a variety of styles and designs.

The Happy Planner Cons

  • While it’s great for goal setting, it doesn’t address specific blogging to-dos like an editorial calendar for blog content, social content, email marketing, or creating courses and digital products.
  • Some reviews claimed that the planner wasn’t durable or arrived broken.
Legend Planner Pro for Bloggers

5. Legend Planner Pro

This Legend Planner Pro is another of the best blogging planners for managing your whole life. It serves as a gratitude log, journal, and planner all in one.

I love that this planner comes in an hourly or weekly version, which I wish more blog planners in this blog post had. If you get very granular with your goal setting and planning, like me, an hourly planner gives you the space to do that. The time runs from 6 AM to 9 PM.

If you’re looking for a planner that allows you space for journaling and self-reflection, The Legend Planner Pro is it. Plus, it comes with fun stickers to enhance organization and setting goals.

Legend Planner Pro Pros

  • Hourly and weekly planner versions
  • You can get these planners undated, so you can buy them any time of the year without feeling like you have to purchase them at the beginning of the year to get your money’s worth.
  • It comes in a variety of styles and designs.
  • One of the few planners that will help you improve your work-life balance with new habits
  • It’s designed based on leading scientific studies on boosting happiness and productivity.

Legend Planner Pro Cons

  • It’s not specific to blogging, so it doesn’t address everything we bloggers do every day, but it is still very flexible.
  • Some people said the font was too small, so keep that in mind.
The Panda Planner to manage your whole life

6. The Panda Planner

The Panda Planner is another one of the best planners for bloggers because, like the Legend Planner Pro above, it has a weekly and monthly calendar layout, a journal, and a place for daily gratitude.

Though The Panda Planner isn’t specifically for blogging, it has some unique features perfect for setting goals and planning, such as:

  • Focus and daily habit-setting
  • Monthly, weekly, and end-of-day review
  • Priority setting
  • A place for project planning
  • A place for your morning routine

The Panda Planner Pros

  • It’s less expensive than some of the best planners on this list.
  • Undated, so you can start using it whenever you want
  • Designed for setting work, finance, education, and life goals, and maximum productivity
  • Designed based on a study by top psychologists to maximize your efficiency
  • You’re supporting a small business when you purchase The Panda Planner

The Panda Planner Cons

  • It doesn’t have as many style and design options.
  • It may be light in the features you need versus would-be-nice elements. But this depends entirely on what you’re looking for, as what works for one blogger may not work for other bloggers.
A green notebook, two pens, a laptop keyboard, a potted plant, and a small illustrated note—perfect essentials on a wooden desk for those searching for planners for bloggers.

7. My PA Planner

All I can say about the My PA Planner is WOW. It’s a complete system with features like:

  • Goals that are broken down into monthly, weekly, and daily actions
  • Life and vision planner
  • Business + marketing + social media + monthly project plan templates
  • Weekly and daily schedule pages
  • Daily time-blocking layouts
  • Weekly review
  • Habit and health trackers
  • Gratitude journal
  • Blank + graph pages
  • And more.

The list goes on and on of the helpful features that My PA Planner has. As someone who creates content for myself and my clients, I know how overwhelming content creation can be. Sometimes, it feels like you’re stuck on an out-of-control content hamster wheel you can’t get off of.

Note: The amazing people from My PA Planner reached out to me to offer a complimentary planner for this review. I couldn’t be happier.

An open planner displaying two pages. The left page is titled "What is your WHY?" with text and eight lined boxes. The right page has twelve lined boxes labeled with days of the week—perfect planners for bloggers to organize content ideas.

My favorite part is the weekly/daily planning pages. I usually have a lot going on each day, and most planners don’t give me the space to write detailed tasks hour by hour. My PA Planner does!

An open planner showing a weekly layout from January 6 to January 12, with sections for tasks, notes, appointments, meal planning, hydration tracking, and daily priorities—ideal for those seeking the best planners for bloggers.

My PA Planner Pros

  • It’s a comprehensive system that provides focus and clarity, making it easier to execute your strategy.
  • The weekly reset allows you to see what worked, set goals, and even time-block your week in detail.
  • High-quality paper with a vegan cover that’s easy to clean.
  • Ribbon markers provide easy navigation to the most important sections.

My PA Planner Cons

  • I’m not sure if this is really a con, but it’s designed for a specific year and not as flexible as the old Living Well Planner by Ruth Soukup, which I used to love.
  • It could possibly be overwhelming since it allows you to go into such detail and is like 2 inches thick. It has a lot of pages and sections.
The CREATE Planner that simplifies goal and task setting for bloggers

8. The CREATE One-Year Blog & Editorial Calendar by Meera Kothand

The CREATE Blog and Editorial Calendar is another great one designed by Meera Kothand, a blogger herself. I love that she opens with something many bloggers start with – feeling overwhelmed with all the things they need to do and disorganized trying to manage planning their content, tracking what’s working and what isn’t, scheduling their emails, and more.

I think many people will nod their heads as they read this product description and be downright thankful that someone has come to the rescue with a planner that helps bloggers in many areas.

I love the things Meera says The CREATE Planner can help with that other planners for bloggers don’t address, like how to tie the stage of your business and blog with your goals and tasks for maximum returns.

Did you know that burnout and stress significantly affect bloggers of all experience levels? Meera simplifies the entire blogging planning process by breaking it down into four main tasks, helping you avoid burnout and manage your stress. I don’t know about you, but who doesn’t need that in a blog planner?

It’s not about just tracking stats and tasks. This is one of the best planners for bloggers that can help you determine what draws your audience to you and how to do it with a smart email and content strategy.

The CREATE Planner Pros

  • This planner is unique in that it simplifies everything we bloggers do to help avoid burnout and reduce stress. Track and analyze the things that matter most.
  • It’s undated, so you can buy and use it any time of year.
  • Based on Meera’s smart 5-Step process for setting goals and creating any plans
  • It comes with sections for quarterly goals and reviews.
  • It’s one of the best planners for bloggers of all experience levels.

The CREATE Planner Cons

  • It’s more of an editorial calendar created for a specific use, so as long you expect that, you’re good.
  • Some people thought the pages should be arranged similarly to other planners, with the monthly spread first, not last.
The blog boss system is one of the best planners for bloggers, offering a comprehensive and effective tool to stay organized and on top of their blogging game.

9. The Blog Boss Management System by Passive Income Superstars

The Blog Boss Management System by Leanne Scott of Passive Income Superstars is one of the best digital planners for bloggers. It’s the most comprehensive blogging planner I’ve seen, covering the various tasks every blogger needs to complete.

I wish that Airtable were my ideal project management system, but alas, it’s not, so I don’t use this amazing planner. My favorite feature is that everything you need is in one dashboard, making it easy to manage.

Since Leanne is a blogger, she knows all the endless tasks we do, and this planner is one of the only few on this list that addresses all the things you need to manage for a successful blog, such as:

  • A blog content planner – From sponsored posts to guest posts to affiliate marketing posts and much more
  • A place to document the courses and other resources you’re working on
  • Planning with a yearly blog plan or blog planning in general, as well as blogging goals
  • A project planner
  • A place to keep track of each blog post you publish
  • Social media marketing – Pinterest management, Facebook and Instagram content planner, social stats, social posts, etc.
  • Email marketing – Newsletter planning, email campaign tracking, lead magnet ideas, and email funnel plan
  • Affiliate marketing with an affiliate product planner, affiliate product tracker, etc.
  • SEO – keyword research and traffic stats
  • Collaboration, networking, and contact management
  • Income and expense trackers

If you like using spreadsheets and want a robust way to track data, this is one of the best blogging planners for you. The Blog Boss Management System is probably best for the more experienced blogger, but you could also use it as a beginner.

Leanne also created The Digital Product Boss System, which is similar to The Blog Boss Management System but designed for digital product creation using Airtable. If you want to create digital products for your blog, you love The Digital Product Boss System.

Airtable is like those detailed spreadsheets you can use but in a system that is much easier to manage and use.

Discover the ultimate planners for bloggers with The Digital Product Boss System.

The Blog Boss Management System Pros

  • You can manage all your blogging tasks in one dashboard and see a bird’s-eye view of everything. That’s what makes this blog planner unique and thorough.
  • It covers almost every aspect of blogging that you need to manage within 35+ tables.
  • This blog planner comes with four additional Airtable templates – Life Organization Planner, Audience Survey Template, Decision Tools/Calculators, and Delegate Like a Boss.
  • The Blog Boss is designed to help you manage all your tasks in one blogging planner without losing your mind.

The Blog Boss Management System Cons

  • This system, while comprehensive, can be overwhelming, especially for newbies.
  • If you don’t like Airtable or it isn’t your tool of choice, you may not use it.
A spiral-bound notebook, perfect for planners for bloggers, features a cover illustration of a snowy village scene and sits on a white surface near a pink teacup, saucer, spoon, napkin, and pink flowers.

10. Plum Paper Planner

The Plum Paper Planner is one of my favorites on this list, and that’s because of its customizable nature.

You can choose from custom notebooks or planners, and they have accessories, stickers, stationery, and more. There are even educational planners, such as student, teacher, or homeschool, or specialty planners, like financial, goal, staple-bound, or undated.

Note: The awesome people at Plum Paper Planners also offered me a complimentary planner, and I am so glad they did because being able to customize the planner was my favorite part.

I chose the tabbed monthly planner. Here were my choices of features when I shopped:

  1. The size and type – you can choose between daily, monthly, and weekly planners. I chose daily + weekly since I get detailed with my daily planning and tasks.
  2. They go even deeper with this to focus on hourly, daily, or daily priorities. Sizes are A5, 7 x 9, or 8.5 x 11, the same as many of the other planner options.
  3. Next, you choose your cover from top picks, including everyday, academic, seasonal, and monogram options. You can also include a protective clear cover for an additional $1.95. After that, you have the option to personalize your cover.
  4. Then, you pick your color scheme from one of the neutral colors, modern, or colorful options.
  5. Next, you pick your layout. You can customize it with colors, lines, and even choose whether your week starts on a Sunday or Monday. Additionally, you can customize the text layout as well.
  6. Then you can choose your start month, and if you want a six-month or 12-month calendar. One of my favorite features is that you can add national holidays, religious holidays, moon phases, or even your own special dates.
  7. After that, you choose from silver or gold coil binding, disc punch, or not bound or punched.

If you’re looking for customizable features, this is the planner for you.

A flat lay of one of the best planners for bloggers, a mouse on a pink and gold polka dot pad, a "#MOMLIFE" notepad, gold pen, unicorn dish, gold decor, floral scarf, and white flowers on a white background.

Plum Paper Planner Pros

  • I haven’t seen another planner with as many customizable options as the Plum Paper Planner. They are the original custom planner company.
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly layouts.
  • You can find specialty planners for teachers, homeschooling, business, and more.
  • Multiple layouts with your choice of six or 12-month options with additional helpful pages like goals, contact pages, double-sided pockets, dotted note pages, and more.

Plum Paper Planner Cons

  • This planner does cost more than some of the other planners on this page, but it’s totally worth it for the level of customization.
  • Some people mentioned pen bleed-through or ghosting, but I have not had those issues yet.

FAQs

Bloggers have many things to do each day like:

  • Writing blog articles, emails, social posts, and other content
  • Creating digital products and courses
  • Admin tasks like finances, organization, and planning
  • Setting up systems and SOPs in blogging tools like Trello, Google Drive, ClickUp, Airtable, etc.

The best planners for bloggers.

How do I create a blog post plan?

The best way is to create a monthly plan for what digital products and courses you’ll promote and then affiliate with products. That way, you can tailor all your content to showcase the product you’re promoting as the solution and prime people to buy when the time comes.

However, if you’re new and haven’t promoted much yet, you can create a blog post plan centered on the core content pillars or topics you frequently discuss, such as freelancing, blogging, content creation, budgeting, and frugality.

Then, decide on a posting schedule for consistency. But before all this, getting to know your audience is essential so your content resonates with them.

Final Thoughts on Planners for Bloggers

Most bloggers know that creating a plan for every aspect of their blog is important for efficiency and growing a successful blog. Therefore, finding the right planner can make or break you and mean the difference between scaling with ease or hustling to the point of exhaustion and burnout.

From creating a content plan and strategy to marketing effectively to managing all your content creation, any of the planners for bloggers on this list could work for you. Some have a specific focus, while some have a more general structure and setup.

Even if you’re spontaneous and not a planner by nature, the right blog planner can make or break you and mean the difference between success and constant struggle. If someone got rid of my ideal project management and digital planner today (Trello), I’m pretty sure my business would blow up!
